Healthy Thinking Day 16 - Jesus is Alive

JESUS IS ALIVE!!!!!!!

Having a lot of sadness and bad news come my way in the last week with deaths and shootings. I woke up this morning with a burning desire to let the words "JESUS IS ALIVE" trend on all platforms.

I know that heartache my be very real to some right now but I Encourage you this morning that Jesus Is Alive and he loves you so much. We face a very real enemy that wants to wipe us of the face of this earth because of our undying faith in the mighty name of Jesus.

My friends take heart. John 1 v 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was with God in the beginning. ³ Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. ⁴ In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. ⁵ The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

If this is the truth (Which it is) we have a very real reason to rejoice this day. if the word is alive that means the promises is alive. If the promises is alive, then we have no reason to fear because God promises us that he would never leave us nor would he forsake us.

Lets Confess today JESUS IS ALIVE

Healthy Thinking Day 15 - Cause the Bible tells me so!

Healthy Thinking Day 14 - Favor is Fab

A pastor once tought at our church and said "favor isn't fare favor is fabulous". It's always stuck with as a catch frase because everyone has fovor but not everyone believes they do. 

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. (Proverbs 3:3-4 NIV)

There are 2 prerequisites to having favor. 

Love and faithfulness. These to things make the mark of a favored man or woman. I totally believe that once God enters your life love comes automatically. Faithfulness comes when your love someone so much that you wouldn't want to let them down. 

I remember having a boxer dog when I was a young boy. My dad let me name her. Please don't judge me. I called her Barbie. She was the most amazing dog and friend in the world. My dad took her for obedience training and she was an A student pup. I loved playing hide and seek with her. I would stand on our porch and tell her to sit. Then I would run around the house and climb up the gutter alongside our house. Once on top I would whistle and Barbie would come quizzing by passing underneath me. She would be in such a hurry to find me that she would fail to look up when she ran past like a speeding bullet. Eventually she would catch in to this trick and that would be the first place she would look for me. Her faithfulness to us as a family lasted because of the love we showed her and the love she had for us. Yes she was a dog and couldn't say the words love but she could show it. 

In the same way that Gods love for us was Shown not just said, when he sacrificed his son. 

So faithfulness comes from a love that says thank you for sacrificing your Son. Favor comes from the love and faithfulness. 

You have favor today.

Healthy Thinking Day 13 - Life Equals Blessing

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live (Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV). 

I love teaching on the blessings of God because the make us rich and has no sorrow attached to them. 

The word blessing in the scripture has so much connected to it and if like to share that with you. 

Blessings - Empowerment to prosper. 

Curses - Dis-empowerment to prosper.

In this scripture God speaks through the prophet and gives everyone a choice. That choice is life (Blessings) or death (curses). And then to top it off he urges us to choose life so that you and your children may be empowered. 

How awesome is that. Now for the good news - the day you let Jesus be The Lord of your life was the day you chose life. So that means that you have the empowerment to prosper. 

Now let's just cover the topic of prosper. Every time you hear that word the first thing you think about it money. Well I would like to challange your thinking today. God want you to be rich but not just with money. He wants you to be rich in every area of your life. 

Health 

Wealth 

Spiritually 

Relationally

Emotionally

Every area of your life!  

Today I encourage you as you have chosen life continue walking in the empowerment to prosper.

Healthy Thinking Day 12 - God's plan VS Yours

God says he knows the plans that he has for you today.  For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) 

It sometimes blows my mind when I think about the scriptures and this one is one of them. How is it that the almighty God, the God of heaven and earth thinks of me and has plans for me. This scripture is so amazing because I can find comfort in knowing that God is in total controle. God has good plans for you today and everyday for that matter, we just fail to submit to those plans sometimes because it might feel like it's hurting us or inconveniencing us. But the God of heaven says he knows the plans he has for you.

Plans to prosper you. 

Now that's a whole other sunject which I will cover in the near future. 

So God say I have planes to make you wealthy, healthy, blessed and prosperous. 

Submit your life to HIS WILL today and start seeing Gods prosperity come your way.

Healthy Thinking Day 11 - Fearless Friday

Going into the weekend and having a great week behind us I was thinking about all the sad news events that have happened. The Isreal and Gaza issues all the planes that have had accident and all the happenings of violence in our own communities. I cought my self saying yesterday after hearing another plane went missing that you wouldn't catch me flying anywhere in the near future. I had to stop my self right there because if I had to entertain that thought I would breed fear in my heart. And if you remember we spoke about faith earlier in the series what we think we say and what we say we become. I don't want to become fearful rather I'd choose to be fearless. This scripture sums it all up. 

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (II Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

Power - I can overcome every optical that is put my way because I have the victory. 

Love - I can love because God loved first. 

Sound mind - I have control over my thought life because I renew my mind and I have the Spirit of God as my plumb line. 

Be fearless, don't let the things of the world tell you other wise. Our God is bigger than anything we may ever face.

Healthy Thinking Day 10 - ThrowBackThursday or Not!

Today being a Thursday and the #hastag #tbt and #throwbackthursday will be trending today on most platforms, I thought how we often throwback and find ourselves in a place of condemnation. 

Science has proven that memories of events in the past can be triggered by chewing gum. That may seem silly but often times we are walking down a street and you smell the hotdog stand and a memory hits you from left field and your like - wow where did that come from. 

What's this got to do with throwbackthursday?  Well sometimes those memories get you into a thought pattern and remind you of thing you may have done or that may have been done to you and the the cycle of condemnation starts. 

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 KJV)

I'd like to encourage you today to keep looking forward don't look back. God looks at you and sees you as you are today and what you will be in the future. 

Don't #throwbackanyday because you are new in Gods sight.

Healthy Thinking Day 9 - I'm so Happy oh so happy

Nehemiah 8v10 (Part B) the joy of The Lord is your strength. 

What an amazing scripture but only one of many dealing with Joy. 

When I read this scripture I get the picture of a man under attack from every side but walks on because he has a tank protecting him. That tank is Joy. We often let the devil steel our joy which means he steels the tank that protects us from all the other attacks we may face. 

Once we realize we have that tank surrounding us we read Psalm 37v4 delight yourself in The Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. 

How awesome is that. The Psalmest inspired by the Holy Spirit says we should find our joy in our saviour and just for doing that he will give us the desires of our heart. 

Joy is your friend today and everyday.

Healthy Thinking Day 8 - You are Righteous

The bible tells us that we are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus 

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV)

There is so much that can be said about this topic. We are the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God. The sacrifice that Jesus made for us put us in "right standing" with God. Be cause we are in right standing with Him we are able to come into his presence with no hang ups. 

James 5v16 part B: the prayer of a RIGHTEOUS man is powerful and effective. 

So there you have it. You are made righteous which in turn makes your prayer powerful and effective. 

Jesus has made it easy for us to pray and to see results when we pray. 

So today pray knowing that it is powerful and effective.

Healthy thinking Day 7 - Meditating on the word

God instructs Joshua to study the word and to meditate on it day and night. 

Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (Joshua 1:8 NLT)

This goes hand in hand with healthy thinking as it's essential to know the word of God and to think about it all day everyday, all night every night. 

I love what the Psalmest writes - I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. (Psalms 63:6 NLT)

Think of God today and of His word the Son Jesus Christ. He is the risen King.

Healthy thinking Day 6 - Forgiveness

This one might hurt a bit.

Simon Peter came to Jesus and and asked him how many times we should forgive those who have hurt and offended us. Jesus says 70 times 7. Now I'm sure your not walking around and counting the amount of times you have forgiven that person that's hurt you and when you reach forgiveness 491 you just don't forgive anymore. Matt18v21-22

Jesus was saying that you must forgive as many times as it takes.

Often times when we hold on to pain and hurt is does us more harm to us rather than to those who hurt us. Now your sitting and thinking the person who hurt me does not deserve your forgiveness, well I can tell you that you deserve to be set free from the hurt that'd it's caused.

I honestly believe that we as human beings sometimes like to feel sorry for ourselves and like to be all sad and stuff but that's now what God intended for us. 

Can I encourage you today in your thought processes to start thinking forgiveness. It's not an easy road to walk but it's rewards far out weigh the hurt that is held on to. 

When Jesus was hanging on the cross he said "father forgive them they know not what they do. If God who is the creator of all we know and don't know can forgive, who are we not to. 

FORGIVE you will feel great.

Healthy Thinking Day 5 - Love can change the world

For as long as I have known God in a father son relationship I have known love. Jesus summed up all of the commandment in to 2 new laws. And the crux of both of those are LOVE! 

John 13 v 34-35 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Lets think about love and let it ooz out of us as we love one another. Let the love of Christ our savior be your guide. When we look at the world we see broken people, we see people that have hurt us. Let us look at them the way Jesus looked at those who we're hanging him on that tree. WITH LOVE

The thoughts you think become the words you speak. If you haven't been speaking faith you more than likely haven't been thinking faith.

Romans 10 v 17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. 

Think faith so that you could speak faith over your needs.

Day 4 Gods grace is more than enough. 

2Cor12v9. We would be nowhere without the grace that was shown on the cross. 

The Grace that was shown to us by an awesome God who has no need of us but loved us enough to send his son to die so that we may live.
